Welcome to the world of Max & Maggie

Kia Bell is a children's author and early childhood educator based in Brooklyn, New York. Her years working with young children shape the stories she writes and the lessons behind them. Her debut series, Max & Maggie's Family Values, introduces young children to kindness, respect, responsibility, and the everyday habits that help build good character.

Kia holds a B.S. in Early Childhood Education and Marketing from the City University of New York and is an Ed.M. candidate at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where she is a Saul Zaentz Early Education Fellow. Her work is grounded in the belief that the earliest years of a child's life are when the foundations of character begin to take root.
